So this season I thought it would be fun for everyone to send myself or Lucinda a pic of themselves & answer a few questions so that we can all get to know more about each other.
So here are your questions:
1. Married, if so how long?
2. Kids, if so how many?
3. Favorite food?
4. What else do you like to do when not scrapbooking or in my case spending my husbands
money (haahaa)?
5. If you could live anywhere in the world where would it be?
6. Favorite song?
7. Any pets?
8. Favorite color
9. To BLING or not to BLING that is the question?
10. Favorite T.V. Sow?

I AM SO EXCITED!
Well season #6 officially wrapped up last night with the season finale of Project Runway with Irina winning at Bryant Park, NYC. I must admit I really wanted Carol Hanna to win, but she is still a winner in my book!
I AM SOOOOOOOOOO EXCITED to announce that Project Runway is starting its 7th season on January 14th! So you know what that means ladies....................we are going to be starting our 2nd season of Project Scrapbook!
I already have some products/prizes set up for our upcoming challenges & I am currently working on getting some more. If you know of or have any friends/family who have some fun/exciting businesses that would like to sponsor us please e-mail me.
We have some fun changes in store for all of you this up & coming season: Ruth Nickle has agreed to be a part of the planning team! Plus new scrap booking recipe ideas, new sponsors & soooo much more.
We are again opening this up to 12 ladies, so make sure to e-mail me to reserve your spot.
You may have noticed that we have been a little behind lately, but are catching up. Things have been a little hectic for the 3 of us, besides the holidays coming, I have had a new baby (who has mild colic), poor Lucinda has been up/down with a cold this season & Sherry just moved. Thank you for your understanding, we will be getting everything wrapped up here on our end shortly (finishing challenges, uploading pic.'s, voting & getting out any last minute prizes) & preparing for our second season.
Have a MERRY HOLIDAY SEASON & A HAPPY NEW YEAR!

CHALLENGE #12 WHAT INSPIRES YOU?
This week on the show the 5 remaining designers went to visit The Getty Center & had to walk the gallery & grounds & seek out what inspired them for there next project. So here is your challenge: (sponsored by Cosmo Cricket) you must take there Black Board House Album (chipboard/6 pages) & seek out how it inspires you. Do you see it as your vacation get away, home for the holidays, bring home baby or something spooky you decide. This project must be turned in by Nov. 19. Please e-mail myself or Lucinda for a book. We only have 12 so it is on a first come first serve basis.
CONGRATULATIONS!

Announcing Challenge #11
On Project Runway this week, the remaining designers were asked to create a companion piece that would complement one of their other pieces. Have you ever created a page or 3-D item and loved it so much that you wanted to make something that would make it a set? Or another version of it?
So for this week, your challenge will be to choose a page or other papercrafted item you have made previously and make a companion to that item. Your companion item can be, for example: another page, a mini-book, or a 3-D item, etc.
Can't wait to see what you come up with!
Email a picture of your companion item to me at lucindafish@cox.net by Saturday, November 7th.

Challenge #8 - Here are the entries so far!
Hi everyone,
Here are the entries so far for Challenge #8 - this was to finish a scrapbook page that Beth and I started for you. We're very happy that Marlies and Henrietta have joined us this time! Marlies is from Holland and her friend Henrietta lives in Queen Creek. They have been following the blog and the Project Runway show! We were lucky to be able to get the pages to them when Marlies' husband was in town visiting.
There are some more people (myself and Beth included) who are still working on their pages, so hopefully I'll get those put on the slideshow/poll in the next couple days.
Voting will close on Saturday, November 7th at 9:00pm MST!
Enjoy! I think they all turned out so awesome! It's neat to see how people can start with the same basic layout and how they turn out so different!

Challenge #10: LET YOUR DESTINATION BE YOUR GUIDE!
This past week, the remaining 7 designers were taken to Michael Kors' flagship on Rodeo Drive, where Michael told them that he gets his design inspiration/aesthetic from his jet-set travel. The challenge was for each designer to choose a location and create a look that both represented their style and embraced the style of that place. They randomly drew from a bag some of Michael Kors' favorite locations: Palm Beach, Greece, Aspen (Colorado), St. Tropez, New York, Santa Fe, and Hollywood.
Since we obviously haven't all been to those places, our challenge will be to do a layout on one of our trips we have taken. Create a layout that represents the place you took your trip! It can be a trip to anywhere...camping, Disneyland, road trip, etc. This one will be to use your own stash as well.
Sorry we've been so behind these past couple challenges! It has been crazy busy for both Beth and myself. We'll give you until next Monday, November 2nd, to get your layouts finished and to email a picture of it to me (lucindafish@cox.net).
Can't wait to see all the cool places you've been!

Field Trip to Payson, AZ and Paper & Metal Scrappers
A few of us were able to go up to Payson, AZ on a field trip a couple weekends ago! Paper & Metal Scrappers did a make-n-take for us and then gave us a discount on anything we bought that day. It was so much fun!! Beth and Rick showed us around town and we got to see some shops we had never seen before. What a fun day! (Not to mention we got to get out of the city heat for a few hours.) Whatever happened to the cooler October weather?
AM I STILL HERE?
Some of you may be wondering if I am still here? YES, I am. Things have just been a little crazy. Baby Noah has got a little mild Colic, so he doesn't sleep the best at night. However he does in the day, but this isn't always the best because that is when my 3 yr. old is up. I am still doing the challenges, I am just a bit behind right now. I have got prizes to get out to some of you & pic.'s to be uploaded, but I am slowly getting caught up. The next challenge will be posted shortly. Thank you for your patience with me. HAVE NO FEAR I AM STILL HERE!
P.S. DOES ANYBODY BABYSIT BETWEEN 1 A.M.-8 A.M.! HAHAHA I DIDN'T THINK SO.

CHALLENGE #9 BLING IT ON!
So on the show this time the 8 remaining designers had to design an outfit for Christina Aguilera to wear on stage! It had to be a show stopper.
So here is our spin on it: You must decorate a piece of jewelry (ring/necklace that Amate Studios has generously donated to us). You can use glitter, beads, ribbon, stamping, old small jewelry pieces, etc... Check out their website for some inspiration. They recommend only using Tim Holtz Adhesive/Glue by Ranger - it comes in Crackle, Glossy, Matte or Sepia Accents.
Mystic Paper in downtown Mesa is giving Project Scrapbook '09 participants a 10% discount (only for the Ranger Accents Adhesive/Glue ($5.99 2oz.bottle reg. price)). You may also want to check out their samples of jewelry they've designed with Amate Studios products (Kim has a cool necklace).
Click on the links above for more info. about Amate Studios and to see project ideas. Here is the information about Mystic Paper for any who are interested: Historic Down Town Mesa 123 W. Main St. Mesa AZ 85201 480-834-0286.
Email myself at bumblebee555@cox.net or Lucinda at lucindafish@cox.net if you would like to participate!

Challenge #7 - Feelin' Blue - any other entries???
Hi everyone,
It has been a crazy week for me! I am still working on my Feelin' Blue page for Challenge #7. I have only received one entry for this challenge so far. Any other takers? Since I've only received one entry, I won't put up voting until I get at least one more, so email a pic of yours asap if you did it -k-? The deadline for voting is tomorrow, Thursday, at 9pm. (My email address is: lucindafish@cox.net.) If I don't receive anyone else's, Claudia will win by default!
Here's Claudia's layout for the Feelin' Blue challenge:
I did receive Nichole's layout on Friday (after the voting period was over, unfortunately). Here it is! Props to both of you for doing the challenge. I hope to still finish mine and post it on here as well.

CHALLENGE #8 SOMETHING OLD, SOMETHING NEW, SOMETHING BORROWED, SOMETHING................!
On last night's show the 9 remaining designers had new models. The new models where all divorced women wearing their old wedding dresses. The designers had to take the old wedding dress & make a new outfit for the divorcee to wear. They could dye the fabric, cut it up, add extra embellishments to it, etc...
So here is your challenge: Lucinda & I will start a layout, but you have to finish it. You don't have to scrapbook your wedding photos - you can do any photos you like. You just have to work with the page layout we give you & yes you can add anything you want to it to make it your own style.
If you would like to participate, email Beth (bumblebee555@cox.net) or Lucinda (lucindafish@cox.net) or leave a comment on the blog. We are working on the layouts and will try our best to get them out in the next couple days to you. But first, we need to know how many want to participate! Since this will take a little longer, we're going to extend the due date a couple days as well. Email a pic of your layout to Lucinda (lucindafish@cox.net) by Monday, Oct. 19th. and then the voting will begin!
Good luck, we will see you down the runway!

CHANNEL 8! CREATIVE CRAFTS WITH TERRI O.
Tune in to channel 8 this Saturday morning from 8-10 a.m. to watch Creative Crafts With Terri O!
Some of you may know her from the To-Fix-It commercials or the news, but did you know that she is BIG into crafting? I had an opportunity to meet her 2 yrs. ago with my son Christian when he was just a year old. She was so down to earth & LOVED Christian (but how can you not! hahahaha). She is a very talented woman & a mother just like all of us, who also enjoys crafting in her spare time. So please tune in this Saturday morning to watch her in action or set up your TeVO or DVR so you watch it over & over again.
I am also excited to announce that she is going to be one of our sponsors for PROJECT SCRAPBOOK! She is donating one of her crafting books & autographing it as well. How AWESOME is that?! You get a fun new crafting book to be inspired by plus you can say you had it signed!

The 10 remaining designers had to pair up & design 2 outfits for the clothing line INK only being sold at Macy's & could only use the color BLUE!

BUT YOU MUST ONLY USE THE COLOR BLUE! You may use more than one color of blue. Try mixing it up a bit! This is a challenge where you will use your own supplies you have on hand or purchase yourself.
Can't wait to see what everyone comes up with! Email a picture of your layout to lucindafish@cox.net by next Thursday, Oct. 8th to have the max time for voting. Can't wait to see what "feelin' blue" means to you!

Challenge #6 - Let's Go to the Movies
The designer's challenge for this week was to create a look inspired by a movie genre (i.e.: action/adventure, sci-fi, western, romance, or a period piece).
We were donated some amazing wood books by Genuinely Jane Studios which we will use for this week's challenge. Your challenge will be to create a distinctive look for your wood book that is based on one of the movie genres mentioned above.

Can't wait to see what everyone comes up with!
Sorry this took so long to post my phone has been down so I have been unable to talk to anyone. Thank you Lucinda for typing this up!

Challenge #5 - Extra, Extra, Read All About It!!!
On this week's show, the challenge was to create an outfit out of newspaper! That's right, you read it correctly - NEWSPAPER!! The outfits some of the designers created were absolutely amazing - you couldn't even tell it was paper on some of them!
Beth and I were trying to figure out how to make this challenge work for scrapbooking, so here's what we came up with!
We have kits donated from Rusty Pickle
that have some newspaper elements on them, so we decided to go with those for this week!
Your challenge will be to use the Rusty Pickle kits and create a layout that is about something newsworthy in your life or someone else's life (examples are: buying a house, promotion, learning something new, or anything that is good news!!). You will also need to incorporate printed media in your layout somehow (you could cover chipboard, use cut-out letters for a "headline" title, make newspaper flowers or other embellishments, etc.). Examples of printed media are: newspaper, magazines, old or new books, catalogs/ads, etc.
Email me at lucindafish@cox.net if you would like a kit - we have 10 more available so hurry!! Please do not leave a comment on the blog about the kits since Beth is the one who receives those and we know she is busy with her new baby).
So just to recap, Challenge #5 is to create a "newsworthy" layout using the kit provided to you, and incorporate some type of printed media on it.
You have until midnight next Thursday, Sept. 24th to email me your layouts (lucindafish@cox.net)! Can't wait to see what everyone comes up with!!

Meet Baby Noah
Hi everyone!
Just wanted to share an adorable pic I took last night when I was visiting Beth and her family - isn't Noah just adorable?! He is so sweet! Beth and family are doing great - not getting much sleep, but that's normal I guess! :)
Obviously, Beth will be late with getting her page submitted for Challenge #4, but that's alright - I guess we can give her a break since she just had a baby, right? :)
I've only gotten 3 pages back so far, so try to get yours to me asap (lucindafish@cox.net) -k-?
I will be trying to get the slideshow/voting up today sometime if the kiddos will let me sneak away for awhile!

CHALLENGE #4 LET'S TRADE!
On this week's show the 13 remaining designers had to design an outfit for their model to wear, but their model had to put in her own suggestion of what she wanted for an outfit (ex: cut, color, length, etc.).
So we thought it would be fun for you to design a scrapbook page for one of the other gals participating in this week's challenge. So here is how it works: You have until noon on Sat. Sept. 12th to email up to 3 photos of the same event emailed to lucindafish@cox.net. We then will randomly draw names of who gets whose photos & e-mail them to you. When e-mailing your photo's YOU MUST include the following info: who, where & when & your scrapbooking style/suggestions (ex: plain, shabby chic, grunge, bling, etc. You may also put that you want to be surprised). This is a use your own stuff this week. We won't always have kits, but we will always have PRIZES!
PLEASE ladies if you are going to sign up to do it really DO IT! It would be no fun for someone to participate & not get anything back. If you know you won't be able to do it let us know so we can pull your pics & give them to someone else. You have till midnight on Thur. Sept. 17th to turn in your pages!

CHALLENGE #3 CREATE FASHIONABLY FUN BEACH ACCESSORY!
This week's challenge has a bit of a twist to it. On the show the 14 remaining Designers had to partner up with one their fellow contestants & design a surfer/beach inspired/Avant-Garde outfit.
In case you're wondering, here's the definition of Avant-garde: Avant-garde refers to people or works that are experimental or innovative, particularly with respect to art, culture, and politics, or in this case - papercrafting!
We thought it might be a little hard to get you ladies together so we put the partner thing aside this time. Lucinda and I thought it would be fun to make your own style (remember, experimental or innovative) of Fashionably Fun Accessory for the beach using papercrafting supplies.
You may use your own stash of supplies, plus you can purchase whatever extra you need (ex: your local scrapbook store, craft store, hardware or fabric store, etc.). Some examples of things you could do are: decorate a pair of flip flops (I want to see more than just ribbon), a hair tie/bow, make a piece of jewelry, decorate a purse, etc.. Don't let this challenge scare you! I have seen some amazing stuff made out of scrapbooking/papercrafting items. Think out of the box, - you can use chipboard for charms or even acrylic & buttons. Let your imagination flow; you will be surprised what you can come up with! I recommend you check out Tim Holtz's website and blog to get inspired - he has made some amazing stuff.
***Anyone can join in since there are no kits for this challenge - the more the merrier!!
As usual, your entry for Challenge #3 - Fashionably Fun Beach Accessory, will be due on Thursday, September 10th. If it's late, that just means less time for your friends/family to vote for you! Email a pic of your entry to Lucinda - her email address is lucindafish@cox.net.
Good luck - can't wait to see what everyone comes up with!!
Beth

CHALLENGE #2! SCRAPBOOK YOUR LOVE OF MOTHERHOOD OR THE LOVE OF YOUR MOTHER!
Last night's challenge was a little tricky for the remaining 15 designers. They had to design an outfit for a famous PREGNANT women (Rebecca Romijn) for her to wear to lunch, to a party or for casual. Well this was also a little tricky for Lucinda, Sherry & I. We know not everyone has been pregnant or likes to take pictures when they are (unlike me!). So we thought it would be fun to scrapbook your LOVE of motherhood or scrapbook the LOVE of your own mother. We have 9 kits left of 12, so if you want one please leave a message on the blog. Yes FURRRRRRY children count. hahahaha

IT'S LIKE A SCRAPBOOKING CHRISTMAS IN THE SUMMER!
It is so exciting to get a knock at the door these days or go check the mail. It seems everytime I turn around I am recieving more stuff. It has been really awesome getting all the positive feed back from all the different companies who want to help sponsor us. I hear everything from: awesome idea, sounds totally fun, we would love to help, good idea & one companies employee & her daughter even want to particpate! The response has been overwhelming. We have less than 2 weeks to go & I can't wait!
The other day my son & I went to check the mailbox & we found this yellow envelope inside. It was exciting to see what had been sent to us. I had not even gotten a response back from this company & here was some fun goodies in the mail from them! Let's see if you can guess who it is.

Beth has no idea and a little project share!
Beth has no idea that I'm posting this... I thought it would be kinda fun!
Is everyone getting ready for the challanges? I know I'm getting excited about what we have planned for everyone! I can't believe all the goodies we've recieved from so many companies! (Be sure to check them out on the sidebar) Did ya notice the cute little count down timer on here? Only 13 more days! Yipppeeee!!!
Remeber, you can still participate in the challanges even if you can't attend the kick off night. Please let either Beth, Lucinda or myself know if you plan on joining us. We have goodie bags for the 1st 12 that confirm! We only have a few spots available so let us know!!
On to the little project.... I found the 12x12 frame at a garage sale for 2.00! It was an UGLY green color so I took it home and painted it black. I found the super cute paper at the local scrapbook store and thought it was very french country-ish (is that even a word?)LOL I drew the rooster and paper pieced it together. The wing is pop dotted and the tail is a die cut. I used a little goldish color bling for the eye. My grandmother decorates her kitchen with roosters so I sent it to her to hang near her table.

Okay ladies here is your first sneak peek at some of the AMAZING stuff I told you was being donated to us. I was so excited when FED-EX dropped this off, that I had to take a picture. You can see in one of the photo's a little teaser of what is to come for one of our challenges & a sneak peek at the prize. Can anyone guess who this is from? I am going to be soooooooo JEALOUS of anyone who wins this awesome prize! I will be posting more photos of some other wonderful items I have been receiving at my door & in the mail. Remember just because you can't come to the kick-off party doesn't mean you can't participate in the fun.

What Is Project Scrapbook '09?
You are probably asking yourself: what is Project Scrapbook '09? Project Scrapbook '09 is an idea that came to me a few months ago when Lifetime brought back the show Project Runway Season 6 (Thursday August 20, 2009 10/9c) with Heidi Klum & Tim Gunn.
The show is based on 16 clothing designers, who every week have a challenge to complete & depending on how they do, someone is eliminated from the show (we will not do an elimination). I thought it would be fun to do a bit of a spin on this & do it with scrapbooking. I can not take all of the credit. Ruth Nickle, a friend of mine, came up with the idea last season to do on her blog with the show. I LOVED doing it & wanted to do it again this year, but Ruth just had another baby and between diapers & 1 toddler it was just too much to take on.
So I decided to do one myself! Lucinda Fish & Sherry McGill will also be helping me run things & putting this together. We have got a lot of really EXCITING things to come! Each week we will be posting on the blog what that weeks challenge will be (based on that week's show challenge). You will have 1 week to complete the challenge & then you will e-mail a photo of your completed project to us to post on the blog to be voted on. That weeks winner will receive an AMAZING prize from one our GENEROUS sponsors.
